KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- On Monday, the Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee held a press conference to announce this year's lineup for its "Music Feeds" festival. The festival is in its second year.
"It's going to be a fundraiser for us," said Executive Director Elaine Streno.
Second Harvest will host six different concerts this summer at the Tennessee Amphitheater in World's Fair Park. Corey Smith, Steve Earl and Scott Miller are among the musicians set to play.
This "helps us feed the hungry in 18 counties," Streno said. "The need is great."
"The addiction issue," she continued, "has even made more needed than ever." Streno said Second Harvest provides 1.1 million meals a month in the 18 counties the organization serves.
