KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) Two men were hospitalized after an argument between children caused one father to open fire on another.

A report from Knoxville Police Department officials said Kenneth Spencer drove up to Michael Sanford's home in the 4700 block of Rochat Drive Saturday evening with a woman and child in the car. Spencer wanted to discuss an ongoing issue between their children.

According to Knoxville Police, when Spencer got out of his vehicle, Sanford opened fire. Spencer and the vehicle were hit multiple times. One of the shots traveled across the street and also hit a neighbor, Curtis Rodgers.

Both men who were hit were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The woman and child inside the vehicle were not hurt.

Sanford was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment. KPD is continuing to investigate.
