(WVLT) -- East Tennessee's own Dolly Parton is making the rounds in Hollywood to promote her original soundtrack for the new film "Dumplin'."
Dolly will have multiple appearances on WVLT this week. She will be on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" on Thursday, Dec. 6. That episode will air at 12:35 a.m. EST during CBS' late night block. Then on Friday, Dec. 7, Dolly will join the women of "The Talk," where she'll perform a song from the film's soundtrack. "The Talk" airs at 2 p.m. on CBS.
The soundtrack sets the tone for the Netflix original movie, "Dumplin'," starring Jennifer Aniston. Aniston plays an ex-beauty queen turned mom. In order to prove a point about measuring up and fitting in, her daughter (played by Danielle Macdonald) protests a local beauty pageant by signing up for it. The move inspires other girls to follow in her high-heeled footsteps.
"Dumplin'" premieres Friday, Dec. 7 on Netflix. See the related links section to hear a sample of Dolly Parton's original soundtrack.
