East Tenn. police arrest man for attempted murder, kidnapping
Police in Bristol arrested a man on several charges including attempted murder, kidnapping and possession of methamphetamine.
According to WJHL, Cass Dylon Self, 23, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, especially aggravated kidnapping, possession of over 300 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, felony reckless endangerment, domestic vandalism and drug paraphernalia.
Officials responded to a domestic disturbance on the 1900 block of Kentucky Avenue on Saturday night. After an investigation, police found that Self had strangled a female victim, destroyed property, put a gun to her head and fired a gun inside of a residence.
Police also discovered what is believed to be 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine worth about $70,000.
Self is being in the Sullivan County on a $250,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Bristol General Session's Court on Nov. 14 at 9:30 a.m.
