NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A former corrections officer is charged with bringing drugs and cellphones into a Tennessee jail.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says a grand jury indicted 41-year-old Marty Lee Ferguson on Monday on charges of official misconduct and introduction of contraband. The TBI says the Hancock County Jail officer used his position to bring the items into the jail for inmates from April until December 2018.
The TBI says Ferguson turned himself in Monday and was booked into Hancock County Jail. His bond is set at $30,000.
It was not immediately clear whether Ferguson has an attorney to respond to the charges.
