Sevierville cabin catches fire after car hits gas meter

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- According to the city's spokesperson, a cabin in Hidden Mountain Resort caught fire Saturday night after a vehicle hit a gas meter near the cabin. The cabin sits on the 600 block of Walnut Way.

Sevierville Public Information's Officer Bob Stahlke said a car hit a gas meter near the cabin around 9 p.m.

Everyone inside the cabin and vehicle are safe. The cabin is fully engulfed in flames, according to officials.

The Sevierville Fire Department and other agencies are on the scene.

WVLT has a news crew on the scene.
