KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT )-- The senior pastor at Grace Baptist Church addressed the church community at Sunday services after one of its pastors was arrested during a sex trafficking sting.

The church will be providing counseling to kids and other congregation members, and the church staff has been meeting over the past four days to reorganize the children's ministry.

Dr. Ron Stewart, the Senior Pastor, announced he is not retiring on June 1 anymore, as previously mentioned. Stewart says he will stay with the Grace family and grieve and heal with them.

Grace Baptist Church's Children's Ministry Pastor, Jason Kennedy, was one of nearly three dozen people who were arrested or cited for prostitution after a three day investigation, including two East Tennessee pastors.

Stewart said during Sunday's 10:30 a.m. service that the church is hurting, but this this the action of one man and not the church.

After Jason Kennedy was arrested and fired from the church, Pastor Stewart spoke with Sabrina Kennedy, Jason's wife. Jason and Sabrina have three children.

Stewart said she just wants to ask Jason, "Why?"

According to the Senior Pastor, Sabrina was never suspicious of that behavior from Jason.
