Great Smoky Mountain partnership earns prestigious national award

Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Great Smoky Mountains Association (GSMA) were jointly awarded a prestigious national award during the Public Lands Alliance annual convention and trade show in Spokane, Wa.

Park Superintendent Cassius Cash and GSMA Executive Director Laurel Rematore were awarded the Public Lands Partner Award, which recognizes an exemplary partnership for its achievement to protect and preserve our country's public lands and enhance the experiences of visitors and users.

The 65 year partnership was recognized for a variety of successful partnership efforts, including unprecedented quantity and quality of visitor services at America's most-visited national park.
