Harriman teen charged in shooting death of U.S. Army Soldier

HARRIMAN, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Twenty three-year old Marstratton Gordon was shot and killed Sunday after a fight in Harriman. A 15-year-old is charged in connection with the shooting death.

District Attorney General Russell Johnson and Harriman Police Department Assistant Chief Kenny Humphrey say the shooting happened at about 7:35 p.m. at a home on Byrd Avenue.

Gordon was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Authorities believe Gordon was on leave and visiting his girlfriend. They say there was a fight, and Gordon was shot by the 15-year-old. Gordon died from a single gunshot.
