Home Builders Association opens 2017 Parade of Homes in East Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville (HBAGK) opened its 2017 Parade of Homes on Friday, Oct. 6, and continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Oct. 22.

This year's parade features more than 40 new homes from the area's best builders.

The idea behind the Parade of Homes is to introduce East Tennesseans to many new and modern home concepts from area builders. The three-weekend event features homes that range in price from $154,900 to more than $2 million.

Those who already own a home and may not be in the market to buy or build can also find ideas to upgrade, modernize and remodel their homes during the parade.

We literally have something for everyone," said Dan Mitchell, 2017 HBAGK Parade of Homes co-chair. "There are starter homes, mid-range homes, retirement homes and multi-million-dollar dream homes...and everything in between."

The free event provides one-on-one access to builders and their representatives at each showcase home.

This year's parade includes 41 distinct showcase homes in Knox, Anderson, Blount, Loudon, Monroe, Sevier and Union counties. Find a complete listing of homes available in the guidebook, as well as on the MyHomeFound app and website.
