KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knox County Sheriff's Office said one person is dead after two pickup trucks crashed on Millertown Pike Saturday night.

The call came in around 9:01 p.m. Saturday. One of the trucks was on fire.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found one truck fully engulfed in flames with one person inside.

The second truck had four people inside. KCSO said one of the passengers was dead at the scene. Rural Metro said the victim was "young." On Monday, KCSO announced that the victim was a 15-year-old.

Rural Metro was on scene as well and said the crash "was one of the most horrific crash scenes we have dealt with." The organization only posted one picture of the scene because of this.

KCSO said all of the other passengers were taken to the hospital.

Alcohol was a factor in the crash, as was lack of seat belt use, according to Rural Metro.

Charges are pending.
