One dead in Knoxville house fire
One person was found dead at a home off Chapman Highway following a Thursday evening fire, the Knoxville Fire Department said.
Crews responded to a home on Locust Hill Lane at around 7:11 p.m. A caller reported hearing an explosion and seeing flames.
KFD said firefighters were not able to get to the house with their regular trucks, and instead had to use a brush truck. It took approximately 800-900 feet of hose to reach the residence.
Crews searched the home three times and uncovered one person dead. Officials have not identified the victim, but the family of the homeowner was notified.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
