The Knoxville Fire Department responded to a fire at the 4900 block of Kingston Pike near Homberg Drive on Thursday.

After investigating, the Knoxville Fire Department ruled the fire as accidental. They believe the fire started in or around an equipment trailer containing a combustible fuel heater that was in the breezeway between the two main structures.

The fire was reported at 12:49 p.m. at 4944 Kingston Pike near Homberg close to the Chick-fil-A and Kroger on Thursday.

FIre officials initially thought the fire was at Chick-fil-A, but discovered that the fire was at Southeast Bank-Bearden.

12 construction workers were inside at the time of the fire, but safely evacuated after someone yelled, "fire." No injuries have been reported at this time.

KFD says the fire was under control in 10 minutes.

There were small explosions believed to be from tanks of some sort.

After the fire, due to structural instabilities, what was left of the building was knocked down.
