The Knoxville Police arrested a suspect on Oklahoma's most wanted list after being on the run for 15 years.

Two officers with the Knoxville Police Department responded to a disturbance at a business in the 900 block of Oak Hill Avenue at 2:15 p.m. on November 11. They were investigating a male individual claiming to be someone else, according to KPD.

In the course of the investigation, the officers discovered that the suspect was Augustus King, an escaped inmate from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. KPD said he had escaped in 2002.

King was arrested and is being held in the Roger D Wilson Detention Facility on a fugitive from justice warrant. He will be held while he waits on an extradition hearing.
