KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department was called out to a possible armed robbery Saturday around 3:44 p.m. at 4704 Asheville Highway, Habaneros.

Officers said they spoke with a victim and learned one person was approached with a gun outside the business while talking on the phone.

The suspect demanded money from the victim and drove away in a dark colored GMC Yukon.

Officers drove around the area and saw the vehicle several times, but weren't able to get behind the vehicle to initiate a traffic stop.

While driving fast, the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed after rolling over on Kenner Avenue near Odd Fellows Cemetery.

The driver and the other possible unknown suspects ran from the crash. Officers found weapons and other significant evidence at the scene.

There were no injuries reported.

Investigators and forensic technicians responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation at this time.
