KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Fire Department responded to a school bus crash with injuries on Kingston Pike near Land Oaks Road.
The Knox County School system said one student was taken to the hospital after a school bus crash on Kingston Pike Tuesday afternoon.
Knoxville Fire Captain, D.J. Corcoran said 43 people were on board bus #943. According to KFD, five people suffered minor injuries. KCS said bus 933, which serves Farragut Primary and Farragut Intermediate, braked hard to avoid hitting another car.
Several students were thrown from their seats. There was no collision between the bus and any other vehicle. Some students complained of pain, and one student was taken to the hospital.
