KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- According to records from the Knox County Sheriff's Office, drugs and guns were seized in a raid on California Road and Lula Powel Drive.
The raids were within 1000 feet of a drug-free zone near Reliable Child Care Daycare and Green Elementary School.
Four people were arrested after Roger "Moe" Moore Jr. admitted to deputies that he had been traveling to Atlanta to purchase heroin every week, and that he had been selling in Knoxville for more than a year. The report said he told deputies he sold more than 5 grams per day.
Deputies report that Moore was using the residences on California Road and Lula Powell Drive to store drugs and illegal firearms.
During the raid, deputies reportedly found heroin, marijuana, a loaded .22 caliber pistol, and AR-15 style rifle, an AK-47 style rifle, gabapentin pills and other evidence of illegal activity.
Monique Houston, Brenda Nicole "Nikki" Austin, and Carla Patrick were also taken into custody on drug charges.
