KFD responds to house fire for third morning in a row

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knoxville Fire Department is working a fire that broke out around 4:15 Tuesday morning.

According to a release from Fire Captain DJ Corcoran, flames were coming from the roof of a home at 1017 Thompson Place when crews arrived.

Everyone inside and their pets were able to make it out safely.

One person who lived on the upper floor of the house smelled smoke and alerted the other residents.

Corcoran said this marks the third morning in a row crews have been called to a Knoxville house fire.
