Knoxville native Ballerini officially inducted into Grand Ole Opry

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) -- One of Knoxville's own is now a member of one of the most exclusive clubs in country music.

Kelsea Ballerini took the stage Tuesday night and accepted the award to officially join the Opry from country superstar Carrie Underwood.

After being inducted, Ballerini was named the youngest current Opry member. She thanked her family, fans and the Opry in an emotional speech.

Ballerini will be performing live in Knoxville at the Civic Coliseum Thursday, April 18.
