The Lenoir City Utilities Board asked residents to be wary of potential scammers posing as the LCUB.

The LCUB sent out a release on November 8 warning their customers about a potential scam that asks them to pay their bills immediately.

LCUB reported that scammers are contacting customers and pushing them to pay their bills immediately, or their utilities will be cut off.

If you receive a call like this, LCUB asked customers to hang up. LCUB said they will not call and ask for payment and will also not threaten to cut off services immediately.
