Lenoir City Police identify substance in suspicious package

Lenoir City Police responded to a suspicious package found Monday afternoon at a UPS store.

Police responded around 3:30 p.m. for a package containing a white powder. Officers called in the Knoxville Fire Department who is equipped to test and identify the substance.

It took less than an hour to identify the substance as powdered milk.

No note was included in the package and no threat was made. All teams have been cleared from the scene.

No one has been injured and as of now, now arrests have been made.
