Joel Michael Guy, Jr. was extradited to Knox County over the weekend.

Guy has been charged with the murder of his parents after an investigation on Goldenview Lane.

Joel Michael Guy, Jr. was November 29, 2016 at an apartment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and charged with two counts of first degree murder of his parents, Lisa Guy and Joel Guy, Sr. FBI and SWAT teams helped with his arrest. Guy had been driving a 2006 Hyundai Sonata.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says Joel and Lisa Guy were found dismembered and in containers of acidic chemicals in their home at 11434 Goldenview Lane sometime between Friday and Saturday. Law enforcement says that the neighbors did not hear or see anything at the time of the murder and that the home where Joel's parents lived has been sold.

Investigators say the suspect was facing financial hardship and believed his parents were going to financially cut him off.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office describes the crime scene as, "horrific."

Officials report that there were signs of struggle in the house and say it's possible Joe Michael Guy Jr.'s parents were tortured before they died.
