SEYMOUR, Tenn. (WVLT) - Crews with the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department responded to a business fire on Chapman Highway late Thursday night. The fire broke out at a building in the 13000 block of the Highway.
Firefighters were able to put the initial blaze out, but overnight, radiant heat led a storage building at the address to ignite.
Crews spent the morning making sure the fire was completely out to keep it from spreading due to drought conditions in the area. At one point, six fire departments were on the scene.
Officials told Local 8 News no one was hurt and no other businesses or homes were in danger.
