Oak Ridge school district ranked number one in state

The Oak Ridge school district was ranked number one in the state of Tennessee in the Niche 2017 Best School Districts.

The ranking was based on an analysis of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors involved state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, and public school district ratings.

Oak Ridge High School was ranked #3 in the state for best high schools, only behind two magnet schools: Hume-Fogg Magnet School and Central Magnet School.

The ranking analyzed 10,364 U.S. public school districts.
