Gatlinburg officials say two were found dead in a rental cabin on Saturday morning. The cabin was located at 820 Resort Way.

At approximately 8 a.m. Saturday, Jon Levin, 63, Oak Ridge, and Myra Smith-Findell, 62, Corbin, Ky., were found deceased in a hot tub.

Levin was a professor at the University of Tennessee. The UT Department of Physics said a scholarship is being set up for Levin.

The Physics Department and UT Developments Office established the scholarship in his memory, the university said.

The circumstances surrounding the cause is still being investigated. Officials say no foul play is suspected.

An autopsy is being performed and results will not be available for at least 30 days.
