Sevierville police identify victim in deadly crash

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Sevierville police have identified the victim of a Thursday afternoon crash in Sevierville involving a cement truck.

Officials with the Sevierville Police Department say Kateri Goldwater, 68, of Pigeon Forge, was killed as a result of the crash.

The driver of the cement truck, Joshua Harris, 38, of Pigeon Forge was transported to LeConte Medical Center and later released. Barry Goldwater, 28, was transported to UT Medical Center via air ambulance. Goldwater's condition is unknown at this time.

The crash occurred at around 1 p.m. at Veterans Boulevard and Blanton Drive, according to the Sevierville Police Department.t

Officials said a cement truck crashed into a Honda Civic and overturned. The driver of the Honda died and a passenger was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The cement truck driver was taken to LeConte Medical Center.

Accident reconstruction teams are investigating the incident. Both Sevierville police and the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
