One person is being treated for burns in Nashville after a fire at Melton Hill Marina late Monday night.

According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, 46-year-old Jason Smith of Knoxville reset a circuit breaker aboard his boat around 9 p.m. This caused an explosion that set the boat on fire, and the blaze spread to about 10 boats and the dock as well. Another eight boats were damaged in varying degrees, TWRA said.

The marina's owner, Mona Harrison, said a couple jet skis were destroyed as well. She added that Smith owned the boat and was aboard it when the fire broke out. Harrison said Smith is currently at Vanderbilt Burn Center receiving treatment for his injuries, which TWRA described as serious but not life-threatening.

TWRA said the Knox County Sheriff's Office arson investigator is working to determine the cause of the explosion.
