An early morning fire at a mobile home in Jefferson County sent one person to the hospital, first responders said.

According to a spokesperson for the New Market Volunteer Fire Department, responders were sent out to investigate fire on Old Dandridge Pike at 8:13 a.m.

Officials said that while three people lived at the home, only one person was inside at the time of the fire.

The man at the home was taken to a Knoxville hospital for smoke inhalation, the fire department said. His injuries were non-life threatening.
