Plane makes emergency landing at McGhee Tyson Airport due to possible engine failure
A Delta plane made an emergency landing at McGhee Tyson Airport on Sunday morning due to possible engine failure.
Flight 1474 was making the trip from Atlanta to Cleveland when it was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday morning at 9:24 a.m. due to a possible engine failure.
A representative from Delta Airlines reported that the captain of the aircraft received an emergency alert about a potential problem with one of the engines.
The captain shut the engine down as a safety measure and landed at McGhee Tyson without incident. All 139 passengers are safe as well as the plane's six crew members.
