MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Montgomery police say a man has been charged after an argument over a wheelbarrow ended in a shooting.
According to Capt. Regina Duckett, Erich Hagemann, 35, is charged with second-degree assault. The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Maxwell Boulevard.
Duckett says a victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound during the argument. Court documents say the victim was shot in the shoulder and stomach.
Hagemann was taken into custody shortly after the shooting happened and transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where he was placed under a $15,000 bond.
Hagemann and the victim knew each other, Duckett says.
