Flooding at Hunter Valley Farm forces couple to marry in hotel lobby

A popular wedding venue for brides and grooms-to-be across the area suffered major flooding damage over the weekend.

After record rainfall, the Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm was flooded throughout the facility. The company posted images of the destruction to social media.

In fact, flooding cancelled the wedding for a couple planning to marry there Saturday. The owners told WVLT News the couple was forced to hold their wedding inside a hotel lobby. The photographer,

, gave permission to use the photo.

Company representatives expressed their feelings in a post on Facebook.

"Please know that we will overcome this. We need prayers but our neighbors whose homes flooded need even more. I have never seen anything like this in all my 40 years."
