Powerball winners help flood victims

CHARLESTON, W. Va. (WVLT) -- Powerball winners from West Virginia are using their winnings to help flood victims.

Sam and Barb Ratliff won one million dollars in the Powerball.
Even though they weren't hit by the recent flooding, they've been working with their church to help victims. The Ratliff's say some of their money will go to help flood victims.

"We are absolutely just honored and humbled by this winning. It's just something you would never, ever think that you would do and for it to come at a time like this when there are some needs around, we're glad that we can help maybe a little bit more than what we could have before," said Barb Ratliff.

The Ratliffs are also going to use their winnings to pay off their kids' school loans, visit family, and fund their retirement.
