KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A new scam is making the rounds on social media, and this one is so tempting it's hard to resist.

Some people are falling for a fake coupon from Publix that tempts users by offering $80 off groceries in exchange for completing a survey, but the store says don't fall for it.

"Please be aware that the coupon is not supported by Publix and is not valid at any of our locations. We recommend that you do not participate in the promotion or provide your personal information," the store said on their official Twitter account.

If you find a deal out there that seems too good to be true, chances are it is. It's best to only share personal information with websites you trust.

If you're disappointed about the idea of heading to the store without a coupon in hand, head to Publix's web page with a list of valid coupons and sales here.
