LaFollette, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A drug store in LaFollette was raided Wednesday morning according to reports by WLAF.
Riggs Drug store was reportedly visited by a group of investigators around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials with THP confirmed the agency is currently assisting with the investigation of the store. They said warrants were served.
The store reopened Wednesday afternoon, according to store owner Bob Fannon. Fannon told WVLT News his store has not done anything wrong, and they will wait to see what comes of the situation.
Fannon said the raid was an audit pertaining to another pain clinic that had been closed for some time. He told WVLT News he had not seen anything like this situation in his 50 years of working as a pharmacist.
A raid was conducted at the area in 2016, according to WLAF, but investigators have not confirmed if that incident is linked to this one.
