Schulz Brau Brewing Company preparing for grand opening

After months of planning and hard work, the German-inspired castle housing Knoxville's newest brewery, Schulz Brau Brewing Company, is ready to lower the drawbridge and welcome visitors.

Schulz Brau's Grand Opening celebration is set for Friday, June 10, at 6:00 pm. At the event, visitors will be able to try Schulz Brau's authentic German beer, listen to music, and enjoy German food.

It all kicks off with a ribbon cutting before welcoming people inside to try one of the six beers on tap: German Pilsner, Munich Dunkel, Hefeweizen, Helles Bock, Schwarzbier, and Radler. GruJo's German Restaurant will provide the food, offering bratwursts, sauerkraut, potato salad, and Fleischkase. While eating and drinking, enjoy music by the Knoxville Polka Kings.

Schulz Brau Brewing Company is located at 126 Bernard Ave., near the corner of Central and North Broadway. Parking is available on site and across the street in the Health Department parking lot, and on Bernard Ave., Tyson St., and Pruett Place.
