KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The government shutdown has caused issues across the board, and now, local students are feeling the effects.
According to a release from the University of Tennessee, some students are unable to get federal forms related to financial aid because of the shutdown. University officials are working with them to solve the issue.
"UT officials received guidance from the US Department of Education late Wednesday afternoon and is in communication with affected students," the release said.
Students who can't get the necessary federal documentation will be given support so their coursework isn't disrupted.
