Siegfried & Roy's Protégé headed to Pigeon Forge magic show
Siegfried & Roy's Protégé, Darren Romeo, has plans to join the Fee Hedrick Entertainment in Pigeon Forge to bring Las Vegas to Tennessee.
Part of Romeo's show includes white tigers as part of a multimillion dollar production at the Smoky Mountain Opry starting in March of next year. Romeo, a magician and a singer, will bring his critically acclaimed full-scale production “Magic Beyond Belief” to the stage.
"He's the only other magician to perform at the Mirage Theater in Las Vegas and he is absolutely amazing," said Jim Hedrick, theater co-owner. "He's going to bring spectacular magic, an amazing voice and yes we're going to include the incredible animals that we have here at the Smoky Mountain Opry."
Romeo starred in his own show as “Siegfried & Roy presents, Darren Romeo” at the Mirage Resort Hotel and Casino. He has also performed in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace and the Flamingo Hilton and at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood to name but a few.
"Little ole Pigeon Forge isn't so little anymore," said David Fee, theater co-owner. "The theater that we are here representing here today is an $18M state of the art facility with every modern convenience from lasers to flying people."
Romeo will be in Pigeon Forge three years.
The company plans to open the new show in 2015 at the Smoky Mountain Opry. For more information call the theater’s box office (865) 428-7469 or 1-800-768-1170.
