Chief Deputy Tim Phillips told Local 8 News that foul play was not suspected in the death of Henry's son Jimmy Henry and that the medical examiner thought the cause of death was likely natural causes.

Investigators said Henry's son Jimmy, who was in his 40's, was found at his Roane County home Tuesday morning.

Governor Bill Haslam appointed Jim Henry as Deputy to the Governor and Chief of Staff in June of 2015. Henry previously served as commissioner for the Department of Children's Services, and commissioner of the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Henry also served as mayor of Kingston, Tenn., and spent 12 years as a state representative.

According to a state bio, Henry and his wife raised three children.
