Was your home damaged by flooding? You could qualify for disaster relief

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency announced the availability of disaster loans for flood-impacted businesses and homes.

The U.S. Small Business Administration will be available for counties hit by flooding that happened from Feb. 6 through Feb. 24 of this year.

“We are committed to pursuing every assistance option available to help Tennesseans put their lives and businesses back together from the floods earlier this year,” Gov. Bill Lee said on June 24.

The program covers the following counties: Decatur, Hardin, Humphreys, Perry and Sevier and adjacent counties: Benton, Blount, Carroll, Chester, Cocke, Dickson, Henderson, Hickman, Houston, Jefferson, Knox, Lewis, McNairy and Wayne.

TEMA announced several disaster relief centers will open on Tuesday, June 25 and operate through July 2.

Opens at 10 a.m. on June 25, but it will operate 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on June 29.

Opens at 11 a.m. on June 25, but it will operate 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 29.

Opens at 11 a.m. on June 25, but it will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 29.

Opens at 11 a.m. on June 25, but it will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 29.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Aug. 20, 2019. The deadline to return economic injury applications is March 23, 2020.
