NWS confirms tornado in Fentress Co.

The National Weather Service confirms a "small, brief" EF-1 tornado is responsible for damage in Fentress County on Tuesday night.

An EF-1 tornado can have speeds between 86 and 110 miles per hour, and in this case the NWS is calling it 90 mph winds that caused the damage.

The touchdown time was 11:53 p.m. CDT, according to the preliminary report.

The damage report for the Campground Road area in Clarkrange says a building shifted and there was damage to a barn, another another home on the property with roof damage.

There were also reports of downed trees due to the storms.
