For the past nine months, Erin Pressley stayed at home with her two kids, Chase and Walker. Their father was overseas with the Tennessee National Guard's 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment.

"He loves to serve. This is his dream," Pressley said. Her husband, 1st Lt. Ran Pressley was in the Ukraine helping train the country's military. "You have to do everything on your own. You don't get a break at all."

That's why a homecoming Tuesday was more special than most. Erin and Lt. Pressley were reunited as a family with their two little ones once again.

"It's surreal," Lt. Pressley said. "We'll try to get back to normal."

Lt. Pressley, a Knoxville native, was on his first deployment with dozens of others. 13 total with the 278th were welcomed back to Tennessee Tuesday. They were the last group to come home.

"I can't believe he's physically present right now," Erin said.
