A suspect is behind bars after reports show he led an officer on a wild chase down Andrew Johnson Highway on Saturday.

According to court documents, an officer saw Jonathan Dennis Bond driving away from the back of East Tennessee Discount Drug after an alarm was triggered.

The chase started when an officer tried to approach the suspect's vehicle with the emergency lights on, documents said.

That's when Bond sped down Andrew Johnson Highway, allegedly swerving into the wrong lane and onto the shoulder of the road to pass vehicles, putting other motorists at "grave risk of danger," according to the officer.

The report said Bond pulled over at Ruggles Ferry Pike and was taken into custody. He is currently being held at the Knox County Detention Facility.
