Wife of Cumberland Co. homicide suspect also charged with murder

The wife of a man who was arrested in connection to a Cumberland County shooting that resulted in one death and two injuries has now been arrested, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

The CCSO said an acquaintance of the deceased, Kirk Douglas Clark, 35, was arrested early Tuesday morning, and charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Altering, Falsifying or Forging a Vehicle Registration, and one count of First Degree Murder.

Clark was being held in the Cumberland County Jail on $2,020,000.00 bond and was scheduled for a January 24, 2019 initial appearance in General Session Court.

Clark was arrested in a traffic stop by Tennessee Highway Patrol. Doneal Marie Clark, 35, was also in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop and was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. On Tuesday, the TBI announced Doneal was charged with first degree murder, as well.

Doneal Clark is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on a $2,000,000 bond pending a January 24 initial court date.

The shooting occurred around 6:32 p.m. Saturday, January 19 in the Tansi Community. One individual was confirmed dead at the scene, Linda Damewood, 74, of Crossville. Two other individuals, Andrew Schan, 63, and Ellen Cairns, 73 were injured from gunshot wounds.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Investigators and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrived on scene and began conducting an investigation.
