CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A tipster spotted Matias Martinez and Octavia Shaw in the area where they disappeared last night in Chattanooga and called authorities.
The TBI said that We're pleased to report she's been safely recovered and the suspect is in custody
The suspect at the center of an AMBER Alert has been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Most Wanted list.
TBI said 23-month-old Octavia Shaw was last seen with a suspect, 37-year-old Matias Martinez. Octavia was wearing a light blue dress with black sweat pants. She weighs approximately 30 pounds and is 2-feet tall. Martinez is described as being 5'10" with brown eyes, black hair and weighs 185 pounds.
There is a $2,500 reward for information on his arrest.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Dayton Pike and Boy Scout Road in Chattanooga. The vehicle was driven by a woman and had her two-year-old daughter and a man, identified as Martinez, inside.
The sheriff's office said the driver had active warrants, and they asked Martinez to stand out of the way with the toddler while they questioned the driver.
During the course of the questioning, the sheriff's office said that Martinez left the scene with Octavia. Martinez has an outstanding warrant for Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.
