MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- TWRA officials say the body of a missing boater on Norris Lake was recovered Monday evening.

Rescue crews say a body was recovered at about 6:40 p.m. and that the victim is a 71-year-old man from Anderson County who went missing at about 12 p.m. Investigators say the man jumped in about 46 feet of water.
Witnesses say the man jumped off the boat and never resurfaced. The man's identity is expected to be released tomorrow.
TWRA Union Co. Wildlife Officer Rick Roberts coordinated an autopsy request with Medical Examiner Dr. Mark Holland.
A rescue squad official said the TWRA dragged the water and crews used a sonar machine to help with the search.
