MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WVLT/WTVF) -- Tennessee investigators have arrested a man they said was secretly living in a Mt. Juliet family's attic, and he was arrested a second time after returning to the home more than a week later.

CBS affiliate WTVF reported that a woman returned to her home last weekend and found a stranger standing at the top of the stairs in her house. She called police, but he ran into her daughter's bedroom.

Investigators said the man hid in an attic space in the girl's bedroom and refused to come out. The man was later identified as Matthew Castro, a man who'd been involved with the woman's minor daughter.

Police said he had been living in the attic and coming down at night when she was in her room with the door locked.

Castro was charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and was warned not to have contact with the girl; however, more than a week later, a neighbor called police when they saw him walking to the house. Investigators found him in the home, hiding in the attic again.

Officers used a taser to get him out and into custody.

Castro was charged with trespassing, unlawfully entering a home and violating a protection order.
