Two Tennessee legislators, Sen. Dolores Gresham and Rep. Susan Lynn, recently introduced a bill that would make abortion illegal in Tennessee if Roe v. Wade is overturned.
The details of the Life Protection Act were announced early on Wednesday morning.
"The Life Protection Act would restore constitutional protections for our unborn and for the women of Tennessee,” Rep. Lynn said.
CBS affiliate WTVF reported that legislation would likely go into effect if passed and if the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Unlike previous bills, this one doesn't change current law.
