Tennessee man charged with murdering baby


KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Kingsport man has been charged in the death of a two-month-old baby.

CBS affiliate WJHL reported that 27-year-old Nickelous Lee Lewis was charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated child abuse. The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office said the baby died in Dec. 2018.

Investigators said Lewis has been in the Sullivan County Jail since Dec. 21 of last year for violation of probation. He was served with a grand jury indictment earlier today.

As of Feb. 8, he remained in jail on a $250,000 bond.
