Tennessee is the second nicest state in America, according to a new study. What makes us that way?
released a new list of the top 50 nicest states.
The website describes the Volunteer State as, "That classic Southern charm is in full swing in Tennessee, where locals have a buzzing attitude and an eagerness to show off their city to out-of-towners. Add in the lively music scene and it’s clear why it’s one of the friendliest states in America."
WVLT News reporter Arial Starks went out on a journey to find out why tourists and locals think Tennessee deserves its ranking.
"Personally I think they need to be number one." said Diane Pearson.
"Everyone here is just extremely friendly".
"I like how quiet it is and I would definitely come back to live here later in life as a place to retire," said Chez Marshall.
"We live so close to where Dolly Parton is from so her kindness has got to rub off on us," said Cheyenne Rust.
