Rain is moving out on Sunday morning

Another 5 inches of rain fell on Saturday in some locations, but the rain should move out once the sun comes up on Sunday. Sunday we'll have clearing skies and temperatures in the 50's for the afternoon.

With only 6 days left in February, now would be a good time to reflect on all the rain that has fallen this month. As of Saturday morning, Knoxville is already well over 8" of fresh rain. The National Weather Service says more Flood Warnings are likely later today.

Keep in mind, a normal February drops four and a quarter inches of rain in Knoxville.

It has also rained 8 out of the last 8 days at the Airport. The last push of rain should arrive late Saturday night into the early morning hours of Sunday.
